Description (show more)
President William Ruto’s proposal to exempt Kenyans earning Sh32,000 and below from taxation is aimed at increasing disposable income for low-income households. The government also plans to review other income tax bands. The National Treasury has indicated that it intends to propose a zero tax rate for these income categories, moving away from the current tax exemption approach.
