Government orders fresh inspection of alcohol manufacturers

The government is tonight set to embark on a fresh re-inspection of all alcohol manufacturers' premises in the country to ascertain compliance, in a bid to curb the return of illicit and counterfeit alcohol in the country. In its renewed war against the menace, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki says the revamped efforts will also seek to come up with fresh regulations for the industry, targeting licensing and stipulated drinking hours.
