I visited Kenya's new Lamu port | LAPSSET project
Description (show more)
#the #kenya #history #news #duet #lamu #port This documentary was produced with the help of LAPSSET which provided us with extra footage. Our sincere thanks goes to the agency for granting us action footage that detailed activities that happened at the port before our arrival at no cost. We really appreciate. The Port of Lamu in Manda Bay is the anchor project of the LAPSSET Corridor Program. Set to be one of the largest ports in Africa, it is able to handle some of the largest ships in the world with Post-panamax vessels being able to call the port. In addition, plans are under consideration to have the port operated privately with the Government of Kenya as the landlord. This envisions an efficiently run port that will be competitive in the region thereby brining even more opportunities to Eastern Africa.
