Kilifi County declared ‘technically insolvent’ as pending bills hit services

The Senate County Public Accounts Committee has declared Kilifi County technically insolvent, citing mounting pending bills and revenue leakages thus affecting service delivery to residents.Committee Chairperson Moses Kajwang' who led an  inspection tour of a section of development projects said the county which receives approximately 12.8 billion shillings in revenue will not have sufficient funds to meet its obligations if it settles debts.
