Fears grow over Ebola spread along Kenya-Uganda border amid screening concerns
Description (show more)
Fears over the spread of the deadly Ebola virus are growing in the country, particularly along the Kenya-Uganda border, amid concerns over gaps in health screening. Kenyan and foreign nationals continue to cross the border in both directions, with reports of limited health checks and no visible measures to screen travellers for Ebola symptoms. The concerns come as the Ministry of Health maintains that measures are in place to prevent and contain the spread of the virus. As Citizen TV’s Ben Kirui reports, Mama Margaret Uhuru Kenyatta Hospital has been designated as an isolation facility for suspected Ebola cases.
