Description (show more)
The National Assembly's Public Investments Committee on Education and Governance is probing how up to six billion shillings has been paid to the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association by school principals in what MPs term an irregular organization. Heads of Cluster One institutions, previously classified as national schools, have had a difficult time responding to queries as to their expenditure and bookkeeping, which the Auditor-General found wanting, with weak internal controls identified. Brenda Wanga reports.
