Description (show more)
The body of Kenya’s first Ebola patient, who died last night, was buried today at Lang’ata Cemetery in Nairobi under tight security and strict public health protocols. Family members were only allowed to watch from a safe distance and could not view the body, as authorities moved to prevent further transmission of the virus. The Kenya Red Cross Society says it is ready to deploy safe and dignified burial teams should the need arise. Emmanuel Too reports.
