Ex-Kilifi principal land registrar forfeits Sh426M of assets to the state

A former Kilifi Principal Land Registrar, his wife and family-associated companies have been ordered to forfeit assets worth more than 426 million shillings to the Government. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission says the High Court found that Felix Mecha Nyakundi and his associates failed to satisfactorily explain the source of the assets in relation to their known legitimate income. The assets include properties in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kilifi, motor vehicles, and funds held in the bank and mobile money accounts.
