UDA SG Omar says he was quoted out of context on dead voters
Description (show more)
United Democratic Alliance Secretary-General Hassan Omar now says he was quoted out of context in his remarks on voting of deceased voters. According to Omar, the context of his claim was to encourage Kenyans to register and participate in next year’s polls. He accused opposition leaders of distorting his remarks, and plotting to discredit the ruling party for political capital. Nancy Okware has the details as politicians allied to the government urged Kenyans to vote for the president’s re-election owing to his development track record.
