Clarity Solutions Kenya is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic ACCOUNTS MANAGER to join our Nairobi office at Mirage Tower, Westlands. The ideal candidate should have 6–10 years of experience in a similar position with a reputable organization in Kenya and possess strong expertise in accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, procurement, and financial administration
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day accounting and finance operations
- A good negotiator in local purchases, expenses and other payment and cash related activities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally accounting software.
- Prepare and manage invoices, customer accounts, and supplier payments.
- Preparing and managing company quotations & working effectively on cost reduction and revenue generation
- Identifying costing on each project and finding ways to improve overall profit margin for the company
- Reporting quotations/status/costing both products and labour & increasing revenue overall
- Working with HO on effectively implementing cost reduction/financial reconciliation and budgeting for future
- Handle VAT calculations, VAT returns, and KRA statutory filings.
- Thorough knowledge and working experience in Income Tax returns and KRA Filing
- Ensure compliance with KRA, eTIMS, and other government regulations.
- Process payroll, salary calculations, and employee benefits.
- Manage and file statutory deductions, including: NSSF, NHIF/SHA, PAYE, Housing Levy and other applicable deductions
- Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, trial balances, and management accounts.
- Keeping proper report of stock and inventory with value and adding them into books time to time
- Managing employee leave, deductions and other benefits and its timely payment
- Monitoring office timings, and calculating additions/ deductions correspondingly.
- Managing client related expenses and helping management in deep negotiation to bring benefits for the company
- Coordinate annual audits and maintain proper accounting records.
- Manage local procurement activities, vendor negotiations, and purchasing.
- Evaluate quotations and negotiate favourable pricing with suppliers.
- Ensure timely payment of rent, utilities, suppliers, and other operational expenses.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure efficient cash management.
- Negotiation of third-party expenses involving cash payment
- Work as single point of contact for Stock, Payment, Cash for and Bank reconciliations
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 6–10 years of experience as an Accounts Manager or Senior Accountant in Kenya.
- Strong working knowledge of: Tally ERP, KRA regulations and tax compliance, eTIMS invoicing system, VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, and statutory returns, Payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Experience handling procurement, supplier negotiations, and local purchasing.
- Proven track record in stock/cost managing/ negotiations/budgeting/cost reduction
- Team player working with sales/business development/ HO/ Director/GM in a cordial way and formulating strategy to improve financial stability and revenue generation overall
- Excellent knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and statutory obligations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
