Our work combines practical field implementation with long-term ecological and social impact, supporting farmers, schools, and local communities through structured, data-driven programmes.
We are currently recruiting a Deputy Head of Community Reforestation to support the management and development of our community-based reforestation programme.
The role involves assisting in the coordination of field operations and taking responsibility for key activities within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Support oversight of the Community Reforestation Department, including:
- Tree distribution & monitoring
- Organic farming support
- Trainings (group and field-based)
- School sensitization (primary responsibility of this role)
- Collaborate on the development of new income-generating activities for groups
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelors’ degree
- Experience in agriculture, forestry, project coordination and/or entrepreneurship
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work closely with field teams and communities
- Proactive, reliable, and solution-oriented mindset
- Willingness and ability to live and work in Busia County
