Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all laundry (such as linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing) is cleaned, folded, and presented according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to fabric type and care instructions.
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Treat stains and perform minor repairs on clothing and linens as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Ensure proper handling and care of laundry items to prevent loss or damage.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with inventory control of laundry supplies and linens.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests if handling personal laundry.
- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in laundry operations, housekeeping, or a similar environment is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Friendly, professional attitude.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced environment, often involving standing and moving for several hours.
- May involve working with chemicals and heavy machinery.
- Typically involves shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the business.
