For appointment to this grade, a candidate must
- Be in possession of at least the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), mean grade D plain or its equivalent.
- A good school leaving certificate.
- A certificate of good conduct.

Duties and Responsibilities include: –
- Undertaking cleaning duties in the area of deployment.
- Performing messengerial duties
- Preparing tea and washing utensils.
- Undertaking any other relate duties.
- Handling confidential duties in the area of deployment as required.
