Limuru Tea PLC has announced the appointment of Leila Chebet as its new Company Secretary, effective October 8, 2026. The announcement follows the resignation of Janet Akoth Ocholla, who served as Company Secretary from April 2026 until her departure on September 24, 2026.

Chebet is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Secretary with expertise in corporate governance, company secretarial practice, legal advisory, regulatory compliance, and board processes. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Kabarak University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Her professional background and qualifications include:

  • Professional Affiliations: Member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya (ICS), the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), and the Institute of Directors Kenya (IoD Kenya).
  • Specialized Expertise: Qualified Governance Auditor, Legal Auditor, and Trainer of Trainers.

In a formal statement issued by Order of the Board through Dorcas Muli, Limuru Tea PLC welcomed Ms. Chebet to her new position while expressing gratitude to Ms. Ocholla for her dedicated service to the company.
