NSE extends Dangote Refinery investment deadline for Kenyans to October 27
The NSE has extended the Dangote Refinery GDR offer deadline to October 27, giving Kenyans more time to invest with a minimum subscription of Sh535.
The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) has given Kenyan investors an extra 14 days to invest in Dangote Petroleum Refinery’s Global Depository Receipts (GDR) offer, extending the application deadline to October 27, 2026.
In an update issued on Sunday, October 18, the exchange said the extension would give eligible investors more time to complete their applications under the Dangote Kenya Inward GDR offer.
“The offer period for the Dangote Kenya Inward Global Depository Receipts (GDR) Offer has been extended, providing eligible investors with additional time to participate in this investment opportunity,” the NSE stated.
The original deadline was October 13, 2026, but the exchange extended the offer period by 14 days, moving the closing date to October 27.
The offer allows Kenyan investors to gain exposure to securities linked to Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Nigeria through GDRs available on the local market.
The minimum investment is Sh535, with each GDR priced at Sh53.50. Investors can subscribe to as few as 10 GDRs, down from the initial minimum requirement of 2,000 GDRs.

The NSE has urged prospective investors to carefully review the offer prospectus to understand the investment terms, eligibility requirements and associated risks before applying.
The application period is scheduled to close on October 27, 2026, subject to the offer’s terms and conditions.
