Residents of Ng’enyilel Ward in Turbo Sub-County have welcomed the ongoing road improvement works along the Lower Bukwo–Upper Bukwo–Tuiyobei River road, expressing appreciation to Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s administration for undertaking the project.

They are excited that the gravelling works will improve transport, boost local trade and enhance access to essential services, including schools and health facilities.

Speaking on Thursday during an inspection exercise led by Roads, Transport and Public Works County Executive Member Abraham Serem and Chief Officer Geoffrey Tanui, the residents lauded the administration’s commitment to opening up rural roads in line with Governor Bii’s Nguzo Kumi development agenda.

CECM Serem assured residents that the department is committed to completing all road programs initiated by Dr. Bii’s administration, noting that the Bukwo area project is part of the county-wide plan to grade, gravel and compact roads across all 30 wards to enhance agricultural productivity, market access and service delivery.
