President William Ruto has delivered on his promise to the people of Karachuonyo constituency, Rachuonyo north sub county deputy county commissioner (DCC) Daniel Cheruyot has said

The DCC revealed that during the funeral ceremony for veteran politician Dr. Phoebe Asiyo on 8 august 2025, the president had promised to donate   a school bus to Wikondiek senior school

He said the school bus was received by his office on 22nd of October this year and it was delivered to the school on 23 rd October 2026.The DCC who was speaking to KNA on Wednesday also said apart from the school bus the president had promised to fund the construction of six modern classrooms in the school.

“Sh10 million has been received in the school and the construction of the classrooms is now ongoing,” he said adding the classrooms will be complete by the end of this year

On roads the DCC said the president on the same day promised to upgrade to bitumen standard 13 km stretch Wachara –Omboga –Orire –Oriang –Kanyadhiang road which borders Rachuonyo north Sub County and Rangwe Sub County at a cost of Sh1.5 billion

The commissioner said the contractor for the project is already on site and the road is being done to help ease movement of people and goods.
