According to the deceased’s lawyer, the woman was allegedly fatally attacked inside her home and died shortly afterwards.

Six people of interest have been arrested and are being held at Gigiri Police Station. Two of them are said to be close relatives of the deceased.

According to family lawyer, Senior Counsel Philip Murgor, Mrs. Macharia’s body was found in her house with injuries.

“We found the body there. She had injuries. There was quite a bit of blood in the premises. All we can say, it didn't look natural. We're also aware that one of her sons is currently in custody because he was found within the premises,” Murgor told Citizen TV.

The suspects are expected to appear in court on Monday.
