Award-winning fashion Nigerian designer Michael Aladenusi Badejo, popularly known as Omotailor, is set to open a bold new chapter in his creative journey with the launch of ASIKO , a new fashion collection created to reflect his evolving vision, craftsmanship and passion for African fashion.

Fashion runs deeply in Badejo’s lineage. His brand’s roots date back to 1967 when his father, Johnson Badejo, a British-trained bespoke tailor, established Badejo Tailoring Service in Surulere, Lagos. The business flourished, especially during the 1978 ban on imported ready-made clothes, which triggered an increased demand for locally made, high-quality garments. Inheriting his father’s meticulous eye for detail, Michael took over the family legacy and evolved it into the internationally recognized premium label it is today.
