The first group has completed 21 days of monitoring without symptoms, while 98 other contacts are expected to leave quarantine in four groups starting November 3.
Twenty people who had been monitored after coming into contact with Ebola cases have been cleared to return home after completing the mandatory 21-day period without developing symptoms, the Ministry of Health has announced.
In a press release issued on Monday, the ministry confirmed that all 20 were in good health and no longer required monitoring. Their release comes as Kenya continues to manage its first imported case of Bundibugyo virus disease, reported on October 6, 2026.
Another 98 contacts are expected to leave quarantine in four groups starting November 3, subject to individual health assessments.
