Chongqing – Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday afternoon for a state visit to the United States at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Xinhua.

Despite changes and uncertainties in the international landscape, people-to-people exchanges and friendship between China and the United States have continued. This is especially true in Chongqing, a city with deep ties to the American people through the history of the “Flying Tigers“.

From the former deputy mayor of Seattle who helped advance sister-city cooperation to a group of American young people retracing the history of the “Flying Tigers”, visitors have come to Chongqing to experience its development and transformation, discovering the enduring China-U.S. friendship through exchanges that bridge time and distance.
