The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced 33 job opportunities across different tribunals and directorates.

In a notice dated May 29, the JSC stated that some tribunal positions are designated for advocates, while others are open to non-advocates.

“The Commission invites applications from qualified persons to fill the positions,” read part of the statement.

Applications for the various positions must be submitted to the JSC by 5:00 P.M. on June 12, 2026.

  • Chairperson, Land Acquisition Tribunal (Ref: V/No.15/2026) – Provides leadership and oversight in land acquisition disputes, presides over tribunal hearings, guides legal interpretation, ensures fair and timely dispute resolution, manages case processes, and issues determinations and reports.
  • Chairperson, National Civil Aviation Administrative Review Tribunal (Ref: V/No.16/2026) – Oversees tribunal operations in civil aviation administrative reviews, chairs hearings, manages case determinations, guides legal interpretation, ensures impartial dispute resolution, and coordinates tribunal functions.
  • Chairperson, Business Premises Rent Tribunal (Ref: V/No.17/2026) – Leads the tribunal in resolving landlord-tenant disputes, presides over hearings, manages case proceedings, interprets relevant laws, ensures timely dispute resolution, and issues rulings.
  • Member, Business Premises Rent Tribunal (Ref: V/No.18/2026) – Participates in hearings, reviews evidence and submissions, contributes to deliberations, and supports fair and effective determination of tenancy disputes.
  • Ad Hoc Member, Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (Advocate) (Ref: V/No.19/2026) – Handles political party disputes, reviews legal submissions, participates in hearings, provides legal interpretation, and contributes to determinations.

Applicants are encouraged to visit the portal for detailed job descriptions, appointment requirements, and full application instructions.

All applications must be submitted on or before June 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted.

The Commission warned that canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification and noted that recruitment will be conducted through fair and open competition based on merit as part of its equal opportunity employment policy.
