The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has announced 365 short-term job opportunities for County, Constituency and Call Centre Monitors as it prepares to oversee political party activities ahead of the 2027 General Election.

In an announcement on August 11, ORPP stated that the positions comprise 55 County Monitors, 290 Constituency Monitors and 20 Call Centre Monitors.

“In furtherance of its mandate and its vision of becoming a model regulator of political parties for a credible democratic multiparty system, the Office seeks to recruit competent, capable, and self-motivated individuals of the requisite expertise and experience to serve as County, and Constituency Monitors, as well as Call Centre Monitors, on short-term contract terms,” read part of the announcement.

Successful applicants will be responsible for monitoring the pre-election, election and post-election activities of political parties and ensuring compliance with the Constitution, Political Parties Act and the Code of Conduct for Political Parties.

The positions will be based at the county, constituency and ORPP headquarters levels, depending on the role.

Applicants selected for the positions will be required to provide clearances from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

While applicants with foreign academic qualifications will also be required to provide authentication and recognition from the Commission for University Education (CUE), where applicable.

Applications should be submitted through the ORPP Jobs e-Recruitment Portal by September 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Applicants have been warned that presenting fake certificates, forged documents, or false information during the recruitment process is a criminal offence.

The registrar’s office warned that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, while canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.

The office also clarified that it does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process, including application, interviews or processing of offer letters.

Applicants for County and Constituency Monitor positions must be residents of the county or constituency where they seek to work.
