She later joined Loreto High School, Limuru, a national school, where she attained an A- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
After completing secondary school, Ongili joined the University of Nairobi, where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in economics.
While at the University of Nairobi, she also pursued the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) course, which gave her additional accounting training.
She also undertook a course in business management while at university.
After completing her university studies, Ongili joined formal employment before later transitioning into entrepreneurship and starting her own business.
