Claudia Naisabwa is a Kenyan media personality, television and radio presenter, actress, content creator, and event host.
Naisabwa began her media journey in 2021, then moved to KTN, where she hosted Str8up, before joining TV47’s Wabebe Experience.
Additionally, Claudia hosted Season Two of Showmax’s Take Me Home, worked on Nation FM’s Vibe Shift, and later joined NTV’s Friday Night Rave.
In 2026, she also took on major African entertainment assignments, including the AFRIMA red carpet.
Naisabwa is also the founder of the Claudia Naisabwa Initiative, which she says supports young girls from her community.
In an interview, Claudia Naisabwa clarified that she has worked hard to secure her position in the media industry.
“I do not believe in luck. I just put myself in positions where opportunities find me,” Claudia Naisabwa stated.
Early Life and Family
Naisabwa was born in Samburu County and spent much of her childhood there before moving to Nairobi.
She is the only daughter and firstborn, and she grew up in a supportive extended family.
Naisabwa’s mother is Maison Leshoomo, a former Member of Parliament for Samburu.
Maison has served as a women’s representative in Samburu for 10 years and an additional 15 years in parliament.
In 2026, Claudia officially confirmed that her mother will vie for the Samburu woman representative seat in the 2027 general election.
Naisabwa has repeatedly spoken about her mother’s influence on her life and career and has publicly credited her mother for her upbringing and success.
Education
Naisabwa attended Nairobi Primary School, Kisima Girls and Moi Forces Lanet Secondary School.
Claudia has also participated in student exchange programs in countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany, and took part in an educational trip to Egypt.
For her higher education, Claudia studied Communication at Daystar University.
According to Naisabwa, she completed her diploma and proceeded with her degree while working in media in 2026.
Career and Achievement
After completing high school, Claudia approached Switch TV and met media personality Nick Mudimba, where she wanted to volunteer at the TV station.
However, Mudimba advised her to start with YouTube, which she started in early 2021, producing videos and weekly music recap content.
Claudia also tried out for Rogue Radio, saying she personally contacted Andrew Kibe to express her interest without success.
Naisabwa later joined SPM Buzz, the digital entertainment platform associated with comedian Eddie Butita, where she worked for a year.
Naisabwa was later appointed to the Talanta Hela Creatives Technical Committee in 2023.
The government later revoked the appointment when it changed the Talanta Hela structure.
KTN and Media Career Journey
As a presenter of Str8up on KTN Home, Claudia continued developing interests in singing, songwriting, acting, and scriptwriting.
While working at SPM, Naisabwa learned that Str8up was returning to KTN after a break and that the program was looking for a host; she auditioned, secured the position, and worked for two years.
Naisabwa announced her departure from KTN on January 27, 2024.
After leaving KTN, Naisabwa joined TV47’s Wabebe Experience, where she worked alongside Willis Raburu and MC Gogo in February 2024.
In May 2025, Naisabwa moved into radio when she joined Nation FM. She co-hosted Vibe Shift with Brian Aseli, and the program aired on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Later in 2025, Naisabwa and Brian Aseli moved their on-air partnership to NTV, where they became hosts of Friday Night Rave.
Alongside television, Naisabwa built a separate career as an events MC. She began by taking on numerous pro-bono jobs.
According to Naisabwa, she worked on both corporate and entertainment events, gradually building experience and a reputation.
“I started with a pro bono. A lot of pro bono jobs when we were starting, just so that we could build that foundation,” Claudia explained her MC journey.
Claudia Naisabwa’s Awards and Recognitions
During her time at KTN, Naisabwa received the Outstanding TV Personality award at the Africa Women Awards in 2023.
In addition, Claudia won Female Fashion Influencer of the Year at the 2024 Pulse Influencer Awards.
At the 2025 Grand Fashion Awards, Claudia was named Most Fashionable Celebrity.
Additionally, Naisabwa was listed among the 2026 Forty Under 40 Africa achievers in the Journalism – Radio, TV & Newspaper category.
In January 2025, Showmax announced that Claudia was the host of Season Two of Take Me Home on Showmax.
Claudia hosted the AFRIMA red carpet in Lagos, Nigeria, alongside Nigerian media personality Enioluwa Adeoluwa in January 2026.
Currently, Claudia works with the Basketball Africa League.
