Geoffrey Machabe, the ‘Mihadarati’ hitmaker, is a Kenyan gospel singer and talent manager who gained wider attention through his work with rapper Stivo Simple Boy.
Raised in poverty by a single mother, Machabe completed high school before moving to Nairobi in 2016 to study at Zetech University’s Ruiru campus.
Machabe’s early life in Nairobi was marked by financial hardship and homelessness.
After arriving in the city, he planned to stay with an aunt in Kasarani, but he says she later asked him to leave her home.
For about two weeks, Geoffrey Machabe relied on street children in Kasarani, who shared food with him while he had no stable place to stay.
He later lived in his tuk-tuk while working as a taxi driver. During this period, he continued pursuing music and looking for opportunities to improve his circumstances.
Machabe describes himself as a born-again gospel artist and has also positioned himself as a mentor to upcoming musicians.
From Gospel Music to Artist Management
Machabe’s career expanded beyond music when he began working in artist management.
In 2024, he offered shelter and support to Stivo Simple Boy after the rapper fell out with his former manager, Chingi Boy Mstado, and faced financial and housing difficulties.
Stivo stayed with Geoffrey Machabe for about two months as he worked to rebuild his career.
Machabe subsequently became Stivo’s manager around mid-2024 and helped him pursue new deals and collaborations.
In September 2024, Stivo signed a reported KSh4 million management deal under Machabe’s guidance, marking a significant development in the rapper’s career at the time.
During their partnership, Machabe also joined Stivo’s label or entertainment setup as a gospel artiste, with the two collaborating on music.

The relationship later deteriorated amid public disagreements involving money and accountability.
By May 2025, questions had also emerged publicly over Machabe’s handling of finances, including concerns raised by Stivo’s girlfriend, Brenda.
Geoffrey Machabe announced his exit from Stivo’s management team in mid-May 2025, ending their roughly year-long partnership.
Reports at the time linked the split to disagreements over money and control. Stivo subsequently appointed his videographer, Oscar Omondi, as his new manager.
After leaving Stivo’s team, Machabe continued pursuing gospel music and artist management, maintaining his profile as a musician and mentor to emerging artistes.
