MP Yusuf said he was saddened by the latest recovery and sent his condolences to the victim's family, relatives and friends, who have spent days at the site waiting for news about their missing loved ones.
Kamukunji Member of Parliament Yusuf Hassan has called for rescue operations at the collapsed 9th Street building in Eastleigh to continue until everyone reported missing is accounted for, following the recovery of a second woman's body on Tuesday.
MP Yusuf said he was saddened by the latest recovery and sent his condolences to the victim's family, relatives and friends, who have spent days at the site waiting for news about their missing loved ones.
He said many families had remained hopeful that their relatives would be found alive despite the long wait, adding that he would continue standing with them as the search operation progresses.
"Every family deserves to bring their loved one home, and the search must not end until every person is accounted for," he said.
The MP also thanked rescue teams for their work and urged them not to stop searching until all those reported missing had been accounted for.
The latest body was recovered on Tuesday afternoon, November 3, as the multi-agency team continued removing debris from the collapsed 16-storey building, 12 days after it came down.

The National Police Service confirmed that the body retrieved on Tuesday was that of a woman, making her the second female victim to be recovered from the wreckage.
In an update on the rescue operation, police said four people had so far been pulled alive from the rubble, while the latest recovery brought the number of bodies retrieved to two.
"So far, a total of four survivors have been pulled alive from the rubble. Unfortunately, the multi-agency team retrieved a second female body from the site today, November 3, 2026," the National Police Service said.
The service also expressed condolences to the deceased's family and friends and wished those injured in the collapse a full recovery.
Police urged members of the public to stay away from the affected area to allow rescue personnel to continue working and use specialised equipment to clear the remaining debris.
"Members of the public are urged to keep away from the affected site to allow emergency responders, specialised equipment, and rescue personnel to continue the arduous task of clearing the remaining debris," the statement said.
The second body was recovered four days after another woman was retrieved from the rubble on October 30. Her remains were taken to Nairobi City Mortuary for DNA testing and identification because of their condition.
The building collapsed on Friday, October 23, while under construction, triggering a multi-agency operation involving police officers, county emergency teams, the National Disaster Management Unit, the Kenya Red Cross and other rescue personnel.
Since the collapse, families of those believed to have been inside the building have been gathering near the site as rescuers work through the debris.
