Safaricom has announced the launch of Family Share. This is a new connectivity plan that combines Home Fibre and mobile services. It allows customers to share mobile data or voice minutes with up to five family members under a single proposition.

Starting at KES 3,749, customers can access internet speeds of 40Mbps and share either 750 voice minutes or 14GB of mobile data with up to five family members.

The plan is available to both new and existing Safaricom Home Fibre customers and brings together mobile voice, data and SMS benefits alongside home internet connectivity.

Safaricom says the proposition will also offer customers the convenience of a single bill, making it easier to manage household connectivity expenses.

Speaking during the launch, Safaricom Chief Consumer Business Officer Fawzia Ali said the new offering is part of the company’s efforts to provide customers with greater value and convenience.

“People work, learn, travel, explore and stay connected across different spaces, and they want greater value without added complexity. That is why we have introduced the Family Share plan for both new and existing Home Fibre customers across the country,” said Ali.

She added that the plan falls under the company’s Pata More initiative, which focuses on delivering value through affordable and convenient connectivity solutions.

“With Family Share, we aim to keep customers seamlessly connected, whether at home or on the go,” she said.

Customers can purchase Safaricom Home Fibre or 4G and 5G Wi-Fi plans through the My OneApp application, by dialling *400#, or by visiting Safaricom shops and authorised dealer outlets.

The Family Share plan is available to new and existing Home Fibre customers.
