Karicheni residents urge politicians to keep off proposed cement factory

Karicheni residents in Kieni, Nyeri County, have urged local politicians to keep politics out of plans for a newly proposed cement factory at the area’s industrial site. The residents had rejected a similar proposal two months ago after a previous investor was denied the opportunity to establish a cement grinding plant in a residential area.
