Ruto defends Kenya’s government-to-government fuel import model

Description (show more)

We begin with the raging controversy over the Kenya-Uganda oil import arrangements. Tonight, President William Ruto has defended Kenya’s government-to-government, or G-to-G, fuel importation model, amid controversial remarks by Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Speaking in New York City, President Ruto said the system has enabled Kenya to secure petroleum products at a more competitive cost than neighbouring countries. He further said Kenya’s model was superior to the system currently being used by Uganda, challenging critics to compare the landed cost of petrol delivered to the two countries.
