Atwoli dismisses Sifuna’s presidential ambitions, backs Ruto’s re-election

COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has dismissed Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s presidential bid, saying the former ODM secretary-general is not yet ready to lead the country. Speaking at a funeral in Kanduyi, Bungoma County, Atwoli declared his support for President William Ruto’s re-election bid, warning the Luhya community against being “auctioned” by young leaders. He also criticised Sifuna’s association with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, whom he accused of pursuing business interests.
