Court awards Kinyagia Sh5 million over rights violations

The High Court has awarded ICT expert and blogger Ndiang’ui Kinyagia five million shillings in damages for violation of his rights following a police raid at his home in Kinoo, Kiambu County. Kinyagia went missing after the June 21, 2025 raid, only to resurface 11 days later at the Milimani Law Courts. He told the court that he had gone into hiding after receiving information that security officers were looking for him. The social media commentator had earlier shared a timetable for the anniversary of the Gen Z protests, which included a planned march to State House.
