Absa Bank Kenya PLC has officially named global marathon icon Eliud Kipchoge as its Official World Tour Financial Partner.

Kipchoge, widely celebrated as the greatest marathon runner in history, brings two Olympic gold medals, multiple World Marathon Major titles, and the historic sub-two-hour marathon barrier to the collaboration. The announcement comes as Kipchoge returns to Kenya following his recent victory and course-record performance at the 2026 Melbourne Marathon.
For Absa Bank, Kipchoge’s signature ethos, “No Human Is Limited”, mirrors the institution’s commitment to empowering individuals, entrepreneurs, and communities to achieve ambitious financial goals.
“Eliud Kipchoge’s achievements extend beyond sport—he embodies possibility beyond limits,” said Yusuf Omari, Managing Director and CEO of Absa Bank Kenya. “As a proudly Pan-African organisation, we are inspired by his journey from early cross-country trials in Kenya to becoming one of the most decorated athletes in the world. Partnering with Eliud enables us to connect with our customers on a human level, inspiring individuals, entrepreneurs, and institutions to dream bigger across Kenya and Africa.”
Beyond athletic excellence, Kipchoge’s focus on youth empowerment, healthy living, and community development aligns with Absa’s social impact initiatives across youth development, entrepreneurship, and education.
The collaboration will span Absa’s Pan-African footprint, featuring exclusive customer engagements, executive leadership panels, digital storytelling campaigns, wellness drives, and community outreach programs.
