Octagon Africa Financial Services has officially expanded its physical presence in Kenya’s coastal region with the opening of a new office on the 9th Floor of Epic Business Centre in Mombasa. The move is designed to enhance accessibility to comprehensive financial solutions, deepen regional client relationships, and support the long-term financial security of local individuals, families, and businesses.

The expansion arrives at a critical juncture for the region, as employers increasingly seek to optimize employee benefit schemes while individuals and corporate entities navigate complex decisions surrounding retirement preparedness, wealth accumulation, and financial resilience.

Mombasa and the wider Coastal region feature a dynamic economic landscape. Established enterprises and fast-growing businesses alike face the dual challenge of managing day-to-day operational expenditures alongside crucial long-term priorities, such as workforce welfare, structured retirement benefits, and business continuity planning.

Speaking during the launch, Octagon Africa Group Chief Executive Officer Fred Waswa highlighted the geographic and strategic importance of the new establishment within the firm’s broader footprint across Kenya.

“Mombasa is a fast-growing city in Kenya, and we would like to be part of this growth,” said Waswa. “The Coast region presents significant opportunities across different sectors, including trade, tourism, hospitality, logistics, manufacturing, oil, professional services, and small and medium-sized enterprises. These present diverse needs spanning retirement planning, employee benefits, insurance, investment, and wealth preservation.”

A central pillar of this launch is Octagon Africa’s partnership with financial services provider Alexforbes. By combining Octagon Africa’s deep local market presence and client networks with Alexforbes’ extensive employee benefit and advisory expertise, the alliance aims to deliver an enhanced, integrated proposition to employers and workers across the region.

Craig Bentley, Chief Commercial Officer at Alexforbes, emphasized that the establishment of the Mombasa office reflects a shared commitment to embedding robust financial strategies directly into regional economic hubs.

“This move aligns with Alexforbes’ objective to offer opportunities and growth across the African region, and strategically into specific markets such as Kenya, while at the same time reinforcing key relationships with our key partners such as Octagon Africa,” Bentley noted.
