Kajiado North Member of Parliament Onesmus Ngogoyo has handed over a cheque of Sh1.5 million to support the renovation of classrooms at Nkaimurunya Primary School in Nkaimurunya Ward.

The funds will be used to improve the condition of classrooms and provide pupils and teachers with safer and more conducive learning spaces.

Speaking during the cheque handover ceremony at the school, Ngogoyo said investment in education was an investment in the future of children and the wider community.

“Investing in education is investing in the future of our children,” he said.

The MP said the funds would specifically support the renovation of classrooms and improve the learning environment at the institution.

“The money will go towards renovating classrooms and creating better, safer, and more conducive learning spaces for children at the institution,” Ngogoyo said.

He said the project would also contribute to improving education infrastructure in Nkaimurunya Ward and provide pupils with a more suitable environment for learning.

Kajiado North NGCDF Chairperson Elizabeth Muthoni, who attended the handover ceremony, said the fund remained committed to supporting education and improving learning conditions in schools across the constituency.

Muthoni said well-maintained and safe classrooms were essential in creating an environment that supports effective teaching and learning.

She added that the renovation would enable pupils to study in more comfortable surroundings while giving teachers a better working environment.

The project is expected to address some of the school’s infrastructure needs by improving the physical condition of the classrooms and making them safer for pupils and teachers.

The handover is part of ongoing efforts by local leaders to improve education infrastructure in public schools across Kajiado North Constituency.

Ngogoyo said providing appropriate learning facilities was important in supporting pupils’ education and creating an environment in which teachers could effectively deliver lessons.

The school community is expected to work closely with local leaders and relevant stakeholders during the renovation and ensure the facilities are properly maintained after completion.
