Following the completion of a recent by-election that temporarily halted voter registration in the area, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced the commencement of the Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise for Ol-Kalou Constituency.
The suspension was a standard administrative measure to protect the integrity of the voter register during the electoral process. With the by-election concluded, eligible residents of Ol-Kalou can now register as voters or update their details ahead of future general elections.
The dedicated ECVR exercise will run for 30 consecutive days, starting Monday, September 21, 2026, through Tuesday, October 20, 2026. To ensure maximum access, registration services will operate daily from Monday to Sunday throughout the campaign period.
Voter registration services will be available at several designated centers within the constituency and nationally:
- County Assembly Wards: Mobile and fixed registration kits stationed across all wards in Ol-Kalou.
- Constituency Offices & Huduma Centres: Local government service centers offering daily registration.
- Institutions of Higher Learning: Designated stations setup at colleges and tertiary institutions within the electoral boundaries.
- IEBC Customer Experience Center: Main headquarters desk located on the Ground Floor of Anniversary Towers, Nairobi.
Once the month-long ECVR drive concludes on October 20, the commission will transition back to standard Continuous Voter Registration (CVR). Regular registration services and updates to the Register of Voters will continue at the Ol-Kalou Constituency Office during standard business hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding public holidays.
Eligible citizens who wish to register must present an original national identity card or a valid passport at any of the designated centers.
