So far, three people have been rescued as rescue operations enter day three. While rescue teams work to reach anyone trapped beneath the rubble, exposure to airborne particles, physical injuries and the emotional shock of the incident present additional health concerns.

A multi-storey building collapsed on Friday in Eastleigh, sparking concerns about the immediate and long-term health risks facing survivors, rescue workers, traders and residents exposed to dust and debris, as well as the psychological toll of the disaster.

The building, which was under construction along 9th Street, collapsed on Friday, October 23, prompting a multi-agency search and rescue operation.

Shops on the ground floor and in the basement were occupied at the time, raising fears that traders, customers and other people could have been caught in the wreckage.
