Gladys Kipsang, a Kenyan medical practitioner who is currently serving in the United States Army, has been promoted to the rank of Major.
Gladys has also worked as a Healthcare Specialist in the army from March 2013 to June 2017.
She also worked as a Registered Nurse at a skilled nursing facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico, from October 2011 to March 2013.
Her first role in a working capacity was as a Registered Nurse at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, where she worked from July 2010 to June 2011.
She has industry knowledge in public health, preventive medicine, primary care, nurse practitioner practice, and critical care nursing.
Educational Background
Kipsang holds a master’s degree in Family Practice Nursing from Chamberlain University, which she completed between March 2019 and February 2021.
She also earned a master’s degree in health sciences with a concentration in Public Health from Excelsior University, which she pursued from January 2017 to April 2018.
In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she studied from June 2006 to May 2010.
Her Certifications and Licenses
Gladys is certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board, a certification she obtained in March 2021.
She also holds Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association, which was issued in June 2021 and expired in June 2023.
In January 2020, Gladys earned Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the same organization, which expired in January 2022.
