According to Digital4Africa’s latest data, sports apps continue to dominate user interest in Kenya, with MatchLive: Football Live Score and SportyTV: Live Scores & News standing out among the most downloaded platforms.
WhatsApp and ChatGPT remain among the most popular apps, while mobile money and digital lending platforms such as Koro Loan, ZK Pesa, and DG Loan continue to attract many Kenyans.

Most Popular Social Media Platforms in Kenya
Facebook remains the most widely used social media platform in Kenya, with a reach of 69.9%.
According to the latest Audience Measurement and Industry Trends Report for October to December 2025, WhatsApp follows at 56.0%.
TikTok recorded a reach of 29.7%, ahead of YouTube at 26.6%. Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) stood at 12.9% and 12.0%, respectively.
Google registered a reach of 6.0%, while Chrome and Opera Mini stood at 3.5% and 3.3%, respectively. Telegram accounted for 2.2% of users, followed by LinkedIn at 1.0%. Email and Snapchat recorded reach levels of 0.7% and 0.3%, respectively.
