Description (show more)
The United Opposition, led by Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, has welcomed the court decision quashing the sale of government-owned Safaricom shares to Vodacom. The opposition is demanding that the government respect the court ruling and immediately refund the money received from the sale. The leaders say they will not allow the sale of the shares, arguing that Safaricom will play a key role in the country, including in the 2027 elections. Willy Lusige reports.
